Tender Education and Arts put out an unnerving viral video illustrating how domestic violence affects women in England whenever their team loses a World Cup match, utilizing the hashtag #StandUpWorldCup. The ad in question doesn't show any actual violence itself, but it does show one woman's horrified reactions to whatever mayhem is happening on screen. The ad cites a study by Lancaster University finding that cases of domestic violence in England increased 38 percent whenever their team loses (and it also increases 26 percent when their team wins).
