Lingerie World Cup (video & photos)

Netherlands beat Spain, Germany and Brazil to lift the World Cup underwear as former Dutch international Andy van der Meyde referees. With the World Cup just a few weeks, the lingerie version of the tournament took place on Saturday. A lot of scantliy clad beauties represented his country in the competition and the lucky referee was former Holland International Andy van der Meyde.

The former Everton wideman officiated matches in their home country and seemed to enjoy the role as she laughed and joked with the players. After signing for Inter Milan Everton in 2005 after the Blues finished fourth, Van der Meyde, now 34, during his four years stuggled spell at Goodison Park and made just 20 appearances in four years on Merseyside.

Women from Brazil, Germany, Spain, Germny, Italy, South Korea, Algeria and Russia participated in the contest 4 room last weekend as hosts Holland claimed victory.

Robin van Persie and co will be hoping to repeat the feat achieved by fellow women in the World Cup this summer. Holland, led by Louis van Gaal, who will take charge of Manchester United after the tournament in Brazil versus Chile, Australia and world champions Spain in Group B.
