Δηλώσεις των προπονητών των δύο ομάδων (Moyes - Míchel) και των ποδοσφαιριστών Rooney - Giggs μετά το φινάλε της αναμέτρησης στο Old Trafford:

Wayne Rooney, Manchester United striker: «We owed the fans a good result tonight and we owed ourselves a good result. This is a great result and hopefully it can kick start our season.»

Míchel, Olympiacos head coach: «I would like to congratulate my players on their effort. Looking at the result, one might think that it was a one-way match but that wasn’t the case. We had our chances but failed to convert them.»

David Moyes, Manchester United head coach: «The way the players responded after that defeat to Liverpool was great. The fans deserved that because they’ve been fantastic. We did not play well over there but they put it right tonight. The players gave everything.»

Ryan Giggs, Manchester United midfielder: «We owed the fans this result, they have been unbelievable. We have had good performances and then not followed them up. We can’t get carried away with this. We just need to give more performances like we did tonight.»
